Faculty of Engineering & Computer Sciences

The Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science was one of the first faculties of KIU UTM Franchise, to be established in 2018. The faculty consists of three departments: Software Engineering, Computer Network and Security, and Biomedical Engineering. Students in this faculty have the opportunity to acquire theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and real-world experience through hands-on projects and industry partnerships. The faculty places a strong emphasis on research and innovation, providing cutting-edge facilities, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. It aims to provide a transformative learning environment, produce graduates who are well-equipped to tackle technological challenges, drive cutting-edge research, foster collaboration, and engage with industry and the community. The faculty strives to shape the future of engineering and computer science and have a positive impact on society by providing high-quality education, conducting significant research, fostering innovation, collaborating with industry, and engaging with the community.

The Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) honors academic leadership in the software engineering department and contributes to the local and regional development of the knowledge society. The Bachelor of Computer Science (Computer Networks & Security) with honors aims for excellence and leadership in the regional and international educational, professional, and research fields of network communication and cybersecurity. It is committed to meeting society’s needs efficiently. A Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical) with distinction indicates that the School of Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences is committed to becoming a world-class center of excellence and a leader in teaching, learning, and research in the fields of medical engineering, health sciences, and sport management.
